Actor HeadShots FAQ’s

Where do photo shoots take place?

Actor headshots photo-shoots take place in my home studio in Twyford, Berkshire (see the map for more details) or on location. It’s also possible to have a combination of studio and location shots. Location choice depends on your requirements and on the weather on the day of your session. We can also do the shoot in the comfort of your own home. We will discuss all the options prior to your session and make a plan!

What should I wear?

Think about how you want to represent yourself in your photos. Your actor headshots need to represent YOU. If you have an agent, please check with them if they have any specific requirements. Think about colours that compliment your hair/eye/skin colour- natural, earthy colours tend to work really well on everyone.

I would suggest to avoid bringing anything white, or any clothes with busy or strong patterns as they could be distracting. You want your eyes to be the main focus. Feel free to bring a variety of different tops if you cant decide and I can help you choose. Please wear a plain base vest underneath so that changing is quick and easy.

How can I prepare before the shoot?

  • Drink plenty of water!
  • Avoid alcohol the night before!
  • Go to bed early the night before and have a very good rest before your session.
  • Get all your outfits ready – it’s best to bring more of them just in case.
  • Book a make-up artist, to make sure you look your best on the day.
